WHERE IT’S FROM
This wine is made just outside of Saumur in the northwest of France, on a winery a short drive from the Loire Valley. Here the soil is rich with clay and chalk.
HOW IT’S MADE
This wine is made using the traditional, or Champagne, method. The wine is aged ‘on the lees,’ or in the bottle, with yeast for 18 months before blending and bottling.
WHO’S BEHIND IT
The winemakers of Château de Montgueret are committed to respecting the soil and allowing it to express itself in the finished wines.
HOW IT TASTES
This delicate rosé is a vibrant pink with a tint of silver and regular fizz. On the nose, this wine has the elegant scent of roses. On the palate, this wine is harmonious and delicate, with a fine cord of bubbles.
HOW TO DRINK IT
Drink this wine chilled to eight degrees Celsius. It’s a wonderful wine to celebrate with, and should be savoured with fruit-based desserts and strawberries. You can cellar this wine for up to three years.
