Lady Gaga – Mother Monster, Superbowl performer and popstar extraordinaire – is about to add another feather to her cap, according to US gossip website TMZ: winemaker!
Gaga has reportedly filed paperwork to produce wine, wine coolers, wine cocktails and wine punches under the brand name ‘Grigio Girls’, the title of a bonus track on her latest album, Joanne.
While logic dictates that Pinot Grigio would be the brand’s primary focus, a sparkling variety from the songstress hasn’t been ruled out.
Whether Grigio Girls wine is any good remains to be seen, but Gaga herself is an avid wine lover. The daughter of Italian restaurant owners, in 2012 she was spotted shopping for property in California’s famous Sonoma Valley.
A source at the time told The Sun: “Gaga is really into her food and wine. When she isn’t on tour she is cooking and drinking the most expensive bottles she can get her hands on. After touring in Europe she has taken a real interest in the production of her favourite reds.”
The source also told The Sun that Gaga sees winemaking as a project she can devote herself to after her music career comes to an end.
