Bubble Club Members have been loving the fizzy Prosecco gummies in August’s Bubble Box! These treats from SugarSin are just one of the boozy products made by sugar-loving sisters, Josephine and Anna Nilsson. Offering classic Prosecco and Cuba Libre flavoured gummies to pick from the mix, their sweets are something else. But its the fizzy gummies that have got our members buzzing – see the rave reviews for yourself:
Josephine and Anna have always had a huge sweet tooth, but when they moved to London for University, they had a problem: there were no good sweet shops to sate it – so they came up with their brilliant idea for this scrumptious sweet shop.
As Anna explains: “We couldn’t find any good sweet shops, so when we graduated we said, ‘Let’s set up our own!’”
That was five years ago, and today the sisters co-own SugarSin, the sweet shop less ordinary behind the Prosecco gummies.
Anna says: “We wanted something we would buy for ourselves, or as gifts, or to take to a dinner party. Our customers are young professionals, which a lot of people don’t think about when they think of a sweet shop.”
At SugarSin, whimsical fun with a grown-up twist is the order of the day. Case in point? A series of cocktail-flavoured gummies that are flying off their pastel-coloured shelves.
“People absolutely love them,” Anna laughs. “Prosecco is something fun, it puts everyone in a good mood. Our customers think it’s such a fun thing to combine it with sweets.”

The Prosecco gummies aren’t the only wonders on offer at SugarSin. From whipped strawberry candies and liquorice to chocolate bars and caramel-coated nuts, their Covent Garden shop is an absolute wonderland for the candy-obsessed. And the design-obsessed, too; the packaging is beautiful and stylish and the shop décor completely unique.
“We wanted to create a real-life version of the candy shop in [children’s book] Pippi Longstocking,” Anna explains. “That was the dream candy shop we grew up with.”
The shop, which has been named one of the world’s most beautiful candy shops by Architectural Digest, is a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach. With spectacular displays and incredible colours, SugarSin’s shop is a beautiful whirl of wonder and joy.

“We wanted to create an experience with a lot of magic, pastel colours, bold tables – a contemporary vision with a nostalgic touch,” Anna says. Two years in the making, it was worth the wait.
But SugarSin’s amazing shop – while well worth a visit – isn’t the only way you can get your hands on their delicious sweets. Anna and Josephine’s creations are available to buy online from their website, or from a number of shops across the country, including Selfridges, Whole Foods and John Lewis.
Cocktail lovers should keep an eye out for SugarSin; Anna and Josephine are in the process of expanding their cocktail gummy range, and new flavours will be available soon.
