What’s inside March’s Bubble Box?

The wait is finally over! March’s marvellous Bubble Box is finally here. This month’s ‘Women of the World’-themed box is a celebration of women in wine – and all across the business world. With a box full of delicious treats created by incredible female entrepreneurs, this is the perfect box to tuck into tonight, save for Mother’s Day or give as a gift to the amazing woman in your life. See what’s inside this fizzy delivery below:

The Bubbles

Vitteaut-Alberti

Crémant de Bourgogne Blanc de Noirs

How it’s made: using the traditional method with 100% Pinot Noir grapes, a red grape. That makes this wine a blanc de noirs – white wine from a black grape.

Where it’s from: The vineyards of Vitteaut-Alberti are in Burgundy, a region of western France that produces some of the country’s best wines.

How it tastes: This wine has a powerful nose and a refined palate, with the richness of Mirabelle plums and the freshness of white peach at the finish. It’s a perfect combination of Pinot Noir’s moreish elegance and Vitteaut-Alberti’s characteristic freshness.


How to drink it:
Anything bland will be lost to this powerful wine, but flavourful fish and poultry dishes – and especially red berry or chocolate desserts and apple pie – will enhance the gourmet bubbles in this bottle.

Mar de Frades

Brut Nature

How it’s made: 100% Albariño – a beloved grape variety of northern Portugal and western Spain – this wine is the first wine of its kind.

Where it’s from: The Mar de Frades is made in the Denominaciones de Origen of Rías Baixas, a gorgeous slice of ‘green Spain’.

How it tastes: Take a sip and you’ll recognise the toasty and nutty notes left by the wine’s second fermentation on the lees, alongside the salinity and freshness characteristic of Galician wines. White fruit returns on the finish, harking back to the unique grape that inspired Paula to perfect this style of wine.

How to drink it: Serve this wine cold, chilled to between eight and ten degrees Celsius. It’s a wonderful accompaniment to Galicia’s most famous cuisine: seafood.
