What makes the world go ’round? Wine and coffee, obviously, and now we can get both of our favourite fixes in one amazing sip!
That’s right: wine-infused coffee is here, and all of our dreams have come true.
This amazing new invention comes courtesy of Molinari Private Reserve, a collaboration between Napa cafe owner Rick Molinari and master coffee roaster John Weaver. It took two and a half years to perfect the production method, but it was totally worth it.
“Each blend is made from carefully selected coffee beans that are re-hydrated to a specific liquid percentage using a special house-made red wine,” the Molinari Private Reserve website says, “and then dried and roasted. The result is a rich, full-bodied coffee with a blueberry note.”
The coffee is booze-free, so you can enjoy it first thing in the morning guilt-free, and can be prepared as a French Press coffee, a latte, an espresso or even a rub.
“The addition of milk makes the wine more pronounced,” according to Molinari Private reserve, “while the French Press emphasises the blueberry essence. And, much like wine, the cooler it gets, the more the coffee breathes and opens.”
You can grab a pricey bag of this coffee at the Molinari Private Reserve website, or keep your eyes peeled while out and about: it’s coming to hotels and cruise lines around the world.
